The couple celebrated an array of interesting events before they tied their knot, starting with a joyful Haldi celebration on the afternoon of September 13th, 2020. The event was bright yellow themed with a beautiful stage set up on the outdoor lawn in the beachfront. Haldi is a pre-wedding traditional ceremony performed in most of South Indian wedding households. Later, the bride and groom got ready for the engagement function arranged in the indoor banquet hall, late evening. Reception and Sangeeth started at night in the same hall where the couple along with their family engaged in fun-filled activities to celebrate the night before their big day.
Weddings at Taj Chennai resonate with sheer brilliance due to the energetic vibe of the destination. On the wedding day, September 14th 2020, Karthik and Thendral got ready very early in the morning. Thendral dolled up in a golden bordered maroon authentic saree outfit topped with traditional temple jewelry and beautiful bridal makeup. Karthik groomed in an elegant mundu and veshti outfit with minimal gold accessories. Ceremonies started at 4:00 AM on the outdoor mandapam or stage set up on the lawn in the beachfront. Capturing the important notes of the rituals in jovial flower showers by close to heart family members was absolutely phenomenal. The mesmerizing aura of their South Indian wedding was complete with a color palette of beige, white, and shades of red.
