The lavish Marwari wedding took place in Vivanta Taj Yeshwantpur Bangalore. with family, friends and well-wishers giving the couple blessings to usher in their new life.
Both Shashank and Anamika being Marwari’s, their wedding was a grand spectacle of Marwari customs and traditions. Tel Baan, a ritual which was performed by the groom and bride in their respective homes. It is the ritual bath of the bride and the groom with a paste made of oil, henna, turmeric, fresh milk curds .On the wedding day, the bride, in her beautiful bridal lehenga and ornate jewellery, looked every bit like a royal Indian princess. The arrival of the groom was a fun-filled event. The groom, dressed in his heavily embellished sherwani and mighty turban wedding attire, leaves his home to the wedding venue on a decorated Ghodi (horse). Amidst a guest list of around 100 guests, the couple exchanged the garlands on top of a small chowki . The firework around the couple during the garland exchange was epic.
