important tips for you! Improvising is really fun when it comes to birthing a bridal

Are you confused about fusing traditional with contemporary? Don’t worry! We got
you. Firstly, go for pastel or neutral color tones. Secondly, think subtly when it’s your
turn to decide the prints and border. A lightweight silk saree with minimal patterns
and in neutral palettes is as powerful as a sudden lightning streak. Most importantly, this attire gives you a full-blown opportunity to experiment with your bridal jewelry. Added to that, if your saree and blouse are monochrome or in matching sets, your
jewelry will pop up!

3) Confident in Quirky Motifs

Still daydreaming about how to make a statement through your bridal saree outfit?
We have some fab saree ideas for your wedding! Clearly, Kanjeevaram from the
traditional weaving roots of Tamil Nadu tops the list. Kanjeevaram bridal sarees are
crafted with exceptional raw materials by India’s topnotch artisans. Hence, opting a
collaboration with the artisans is a perfect way of your bridal saree customization. It
could be a custom motif design or a personal preference of color-blocking. You can
even conduct a shopping spree with your besties to hunt down your perfect saree.

4) A Vintage Tale

If you are devoted to an anxious search for a vintage bridal saree, then Banarasi
sarees could be your answer. Originated from Varanasi, Banarasi sarees have been a
regular in ancient royal closets. Therefore, the zari or silk yarn which serves as the

base of fabric is pure and glowy. Likewise, the feel of touching an authentic Banarasi
saree itself is a burst of luxury. Also, there are a variety of Banarsi sarees to dig into
while indulged in your bridal saree hunt. And, if you are ready to splurge on a
designer outfit, there are tons of skilled designers working with precious vintage
textile heirlooms.

5)Mighty in Metallic

Metallic fabric is a piece of cake in Christian bridal saree trends. Let it be Linen or
Kanjeevaram or tissue fabric, metallic blend of threads are currently the most
demanding pieces in the bridal saree industry. Though handloom silk sarees from
local artisans are a popular choice, brand new fashion designers are flourishing in the
wedding market. As a result, the brides book appointments with the fast-selling hot
local brands to figure out a suitable golden or metallic silk saree of their dreams. Tussar silk is yet another trending fabric. Neutral tones in Tussar silk look elegant and
impressive, especially in monochrome style.

6) Handworked Glory

If you are a Christian bride who is not a silk saree fan, we have a big bunch of other
options here! Handworked net sarees are a drool-worthy treat to our eyes. And, the
array of options you get for hardworking are unimaginable. From 3D to very minimal
floral works, there’s anything and everything that you can do in these classic favorites. Without a doubt, Applique detailing for embellishments is still alive in the trends.

However, organza-silk is an escape for brides who dislike heavily embroidered sarees. To clarify, Organza is as light as a sea breeze. And, it becomes even more delicate yet
sophisticated if it’s gently embellished. Likewise, you can even limit detailing to the
trail.

7)Traditional Tamil Brahmin Bride

How can we forget our ethnic Tamil Brahmin brides!? Madisar saree is a traditional
saree worn by the Tamil Brahmins during their main wedding ceremony. Interestingly, the saree is 9 yards instead of 6 yards. Most importantly, this traditional saree has to
be worn in a peculiar style which again is very unique. In addition to these special
features, the saree is woven with a beautiful big border which has very specific
patterns. A variety of colours and designs are available for Madisar sarees, although
maroon is the most loved color.

8) Brocade Sarees for Experimental Minds

Do you love Coorgi brides? Coorg is a well-known tourist center in Karnataka. Certainly, Karnataka is famous for its beautiful saree market. Coorgi brides wear
brocade saris or silk sarees with a very big border. If you wish to experiment with
your bridal saree choice, this Karnataka saree is a perfect choice! Pallu and the border

are two significant elements of Coorgi bridal sarees. The Coorgi brides have a special
draping style too! Guess what!? They even wear a gorgeous veil and shoes and socks
to complete their outfit. Even without the traditional draping style, these bridal sarees
will look absolutely ravishing with a regular draping pattern.

9) Color Blocking

Now that we have explored quite a lot of saree varieties, let’s discuss some color
blocking tricks! Shall we? If you wish to strike a statement through colors, color-blocking is a good trick. Similarly, while choosing colors, make sure to go for
two or more contrasting yet appealing colors. Our superior target should be to achieve
a familiar rhythm in the overall outfit. If you wish to keep your colors minimal and
pastel, still color blocking can create a significant wave in your outfit. As we see in
the image, the yellow and pink colors are in their perfect shades. Thereby we feel a
rhythm or chemistry between the patterns, colors and overall design of the saree
outfit.

10)Bold and Monochrome

A little black dress or LBD is advised to be a staple in every woman’s wardrobe. But
have you ever thought about the reasons behind the hit persona of LBDs? An LBD
can turn your head in a second. Likewise, we are going to discuss the same strategy in
bridal sarees. If you are planning for a bold appearance in monochrome, choosing a
perfect color should be your first priority. A tinge of vibrant yellow or a perfect shade of red that complements your complexion is enough for giving goosebumps to the
audience. Definitely, the first person who should be feeling that hair-raising moment
should be yourself when you look in the mirror. Hence, make sure to go for a color
that satisfies you just like the first drop of water that touches your tongue after an
exhausting run.

To conclude, we would like to remind you again that, fashion has no rules. Kancheepuram or cotton silk, your bridal saree is all about your dreams. Make sure to
form a mood board with the help of that friend who has your same taste in fashion. In
the end, it is your big day where you doll up in your favorite saree. Start planning as
early as possible. Whether it is a local artisan or a fashion designer, you should be
confident about your team. With all that in mind, we wish you all the best for your
most exciting saree hunt!

Preethi's father abandoned her family when she was 12. Her mother was really ambitious to pursue a career in medicine and Preethi's father had agreed to it before their marriage. Later, he refused to fulfill his promise. Preeth's father used to physically abuse her mother a lot and due to his abusive behavior, her mother lost 50 percent of eyesight in one of her eyes.

Preethi's mother had to undergo a very intense and traumatic phase due to the fear of losing Preethi to her father. In 10 years' time, her mother realized that there will come a time where she has to take care of little Preethi all on her own. Hence she shifted to Russia for education with Preethi being taken care of by her Mama-Mami. Her mother made sure to visit Preethi once in 3 months.

In the meantime, Preethi's father cheated on her mother by claiming her savings. Once Preethi's mother found out about the matter, she gave up her education in Russia and came back to Preethi. But before she flew back, Preethi's father had already set his journey to Hyderabad and that was the last time Preethi saw her father.

Preethy felt immensely guilty for the difficulties faced by her mother. Her mother soon found a job in a well-reputed firm and she committed to over-time works. Preethi would be already asleep by the time her mother reached home after work. This was Preethi's life for many years. Upon knowing her mother's life, Preethi knew very well about what to find in her partner, subconsciously. The very first thing Preethi noticed in Aben was his dissimilarities with Preethi's father; Aben is extremely honest and open-hearted. Preethi's mother loved Aben when she met him and in 2017, Preethi and Aben decided to get married.

Aben's family was reserved about the proceedings, with Aben being a Christian and Preethi being a Tamil Brahmin. Preethi's mother traveled to Kerala for convincing Aben's parents. But she couldn't get them convinced and she assured Preethi that if Preethi and Aben are happy, she will get them married. In a nutshell, Preethi's mother decided to make use of all her savings to get her daughter married to Aben. Eventually, Aben's family came on good terms.

During the wedding planning, Preethi found out that the 'Kanyadaan' ceremony performed in Tamil weddings is done with the bride being seated on her father's lap. A relative made a suggestion about Preethi being seating on her mother's lap for Kanyadaan. Preethi felt the same because all her life, her mother has been providing her both paternal and maternal care, strength, and love.

Although 5 priests rejected their idea and they argued that it is not right for their culture, Preeti was determined. Within a few weeks, they found a priest who agreed to their idea. While the Kanyadaan was being performed, Preethi and her mother glanced at each other, bursting into tears. Preethi's mother hugged her and ruffled her hair. It was their beautiful moment. It was the least Preethi could do for her mother for what her mother has gone through, giving Preethi the best life. Preethi quotes her mother as a survivor, a warrior, and a protector.
